Hello! My name is Arlyn, and I am a bilingual (Spanish/English) speech-language pathologist. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and completed my undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders & Sciences at California State University, Northridge. I went on to earn my master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Baylor University. Before pursuing my graduate studies, I worked as a speech-language pathology assistant (SLPA) for over six years.
My professional experience spans across homes, schools, private practices, and teletherapy, working with clients from 18 months to 85 years old. I have supported individuals in areas such as articulation, expressive and receptive language disorders, pragmatic language, AAC, motor speech disorders, aphasias, and cognitive-communication skills. Over the years, I’ve learned that connection is at the heart of meaningful therapy. I take a holistic approach, seeing each client as a person first and meeting them exactly where they are on their journey.
I also value collaboration and believe therapy is most successful when families are actively involved. Partnering with parents and caregivers ensures that progress continues beyond each session, creating a strong team around every client.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my significant other, take boxing classes, skateboarding, and going on long walks with my sweet pup, Belle.
