Hello! My name is Shila. I was born in Fountain Valley and raised in Los Angeles. I attended the
University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for my undergraduate and received a bachelor’s
degree in Sociology. I completed my post-baccalaureate and Master of Science degree in
Communication Sciences and Disorders from Chapman University. I have worked in various
settings with populations across the lifespan, such as schools, AAC camp, Chapman University’s
adult clinic, and the NICU at Torrance Memorial Medical Center. I enjoy working in a variety of
practice areas such as articulation and phonology, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and fluency
disorder. Additionally, I have a strong clinical interest in feeding and swallowing after working in
the NICU. I am passionate about the field, collaborating with other professionals and parents,
and creating a fun environment for my clients. I am also fluent in Farsi and intermediate in
Hebrew. During my free time, I enjoy going out with friends and family, hiking, cooking, and
traveling.
