Hello there!
My name is Edna Méndez and I am so thankful and happy to be part of this amazing team!
I received both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from California State University, Los Angeles with a concentration in both Mass Media and Interpersonal Communication. I later completed additional education to become a Life Coach for both youth and adults. Through extensive pedagogy training, I had the wonderful opportunity to teach Public Speaking for undergraduate students at Cal State LA. I really enjoyed working with all the students and we connected in such a deep and profound way.
I knew that I wanted to work with young children again, though, a passion that I’ve had for a very long time. I began my pediatric journey at a company that focuses on improving cognition by strengthening the connections between the brain and the body. I coached children with various challenges such as ADHD, Asperger’s, dyslexia, high functioning autism, and other social, academic, or behavioral issues through various activities that stimulated one of the brain’s two specific hemispheres to help improve their motor skills, sensory detection, and processing. I truly enjoyed this work and creating special bonds with the students and their families.
As a youth mentor and Therapeutic Learning Coach at Bright Beginnings, I am excited to have the opportunity to use my skills in both life coaching and cognitive training to help our youth become their own best friend and to build the skills needed to overcome any challenges they may face. Bright Beginnings’ vision, mission, and values align with mine, and after getting to know Stacy, and her beautiful team, I know that I am in the right place!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and I am looking forward to meeting you!
