Hello! I am Kelcey Kornek, soon to be Kelcey Jeglot in October of 2025. I am a licensed
Speech-Language Pathologist who graduated Summa Cum Laude from California
Baptist University in 2020. I've always had a passion for working with children and when
I discovered a field of work where I am able to improve the quality of life of children
through communication, I knew this was the perfect fit for my extroverted self. I pride
myself in my abilities to connect with children beyond being just their therapist and enjoy
building relationships with families and sharing strategies to integrate and generalize
speech and language skills to all areas of life. I am a strong advocate for neurodiversity
affirming practices and have a wide variety of experience with AAC communicators. I
enjoy learning about sensory integration and regulation and all of the related
connections to communication. I have held positions as Lead SLP for school-based
speech teams and have held supervising SLP roles for over 4 years. I enjoy leadership
roles coaching and working with SLPAs and graduate students aspiring to become
SLPs. My areas of expertise lie in providing presentations on AAC integration in the
schools, multidisciplinary assessments, elementary aged clients, early intervention,
speech sound disorders, stuttering, and social communication. I have also completed
further education in Neurodiversity Affirming Implementation, Connecting and
Communicating with Young Learners with Autism, Early Intervention Coaching Models,
and Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Practices in Speech Pathology.
I moved to California in 2018 from Florida and when I am not busy being a SLP, I enjoy
traveling (how I met my husband from Europe!), visiting national parks, camping, hiking,
spending time at the beach, and attending workout classes. I am a lover of all outdoor
activities and maintaining an active lifestyle.
