Hi there! My name is Berthlyne Francois. I am a New Yorker – born and raised (Brooklyn/Queens). After finishing my undergraduate education in upstate NY, I decided to pack my belongings and move from the big apple to Louisiana to start my masters program and continue my journey to becoming a Speech Language Pathologist. Although it was scary moving across the state to an area I didn’t know, I was able to grow professionally and personally. I enjoy helping others in every way possible and I love children! I’ve set out to love, nurture, and educate children from the very beginning. These are some of the reasons that led me to pursue a career in Speech Language Pathology. After graduating with my masters, I picked up a contract as a travel SLP in California (clearly running away from that brutal NYC cold).

I started off my career as a clinical fellow speech language pathologist at the schools, servicing students in preschool, primary school, and middle school. The opportunity was a great way to get immersed into the field. Although I adored all my kids, I decided to transition to another setting to further hone my skills as a clinician and serve an even larger population.

During my down time I enjoy watching scary movies, mystery, and detective shows, and listening to music. I also enjoy spending time with my family which is the one con about living so far from them. Nonetheless, I am excited to be continuing my journey as an SLP. I look to acquire additional certifications and trainings and to eventually open a clinic of my own.

I am honored to be on the team and can’t wait to meet you!
