Hello! I am Megan Moore, a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant. I received my Bachelor’s in Communication Disorders and Sciences from Cal State Northridge. Going into my educational career undecided, I knew without a shadow of a doubt that I needed to work with kids and that communication, above all else, has been one of the most important aspects in my life and one of my greatest passions. With a desire to help others and help children communicate with their families, I decided that this career path was the right one for me. I am currently also receiving a certification in American Sign Language to incorporate access to communication in different forms.
Throughout this journey as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, I have had the opportunity to work in a school setting, working with children from the ages of 4 to 17 years old in a variety of ways, including writing, speech and language, and social skills. For the last year, I was working with babies between the ages of 0 and 3 years old in the Early Intervention field. I thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with families and other professionals to reach each child’s individual goals of communicating with their families that so dearly loved them.
When I am not somewhere playing with children, I am out in the wilderness hiking, camping, and discovering new places in and around the Los Angeles area. 🙂
